4th Workshop in Metal Additive Manufacturing

Event date:
Monday 27 May - 9:00 am to Tuesday 28 May - 6:00 pm
Location:
KULeuven, THERMOTECHNICAL INSTITUTE, Kasteelpark Arenberg 41, 3001 Heverlee, Belgium

The 4th edition of the Workshop on Metal Additive Manufacturing (https://set.kuleuven.be/am/workshop/home) will be held on 27 and 28 May 2019 in auditorium "2de hoofdwet" located in the “Thermo-Technical institute at KU Leuven campus Heverlee.

After successful workshops at ULB (2016), UCL (2017), and ULiege (2018), this year, the Workshop on Metal Additive Manufacturing is organized by the Additive Manufacturing group of KU Leuven with the kind support of Siemens, 3DSystems LayerWise, Materialise NV, Engie and Technifutur.

This workshop annually gathers scientists and industrial partners to discuss about the leading edge challenges in additive manufacturing processes. Along with it, the workshop is also related to technologies such as numerical simulation, topology optimization, powder metallurgy, process optimization, laser technologies, material tailoring, microstructure characterization, and much more.

Registrations are open till 1 May 2019.

Keynote speakers include:

  • Prof. Amir Zadpoor, TU Delft, The Netherlands [Meta-biomaterials produced by AM]
  • Dr. Johannes Gumpinger, ESA, The Netherlands.
